Hard Drive Failure Rates as Reported by BackBlaze

This is very interesting and may affect the way I purchase hard drives.  Something tells me that quality has gone down overall in the last year based on drives I have ordered.

We measure drive reliability by looking at the annual failure rate, which is the average number of failures you can expect running one drive for a year. A failure is when we have to replace a drive in a pod.
